Now here is one of my must have sneakers to be released this year. At the end of 2010 the rumor of a Laney V and Grape Package surfaced. Although we are awaiting the official confirmation of the release, the rumor is that they will be expected to drop in the summer of 2011. In my opinion, this will be the most highly anticipated package release since the first Defining Moments Package. I remember be one of the few to cop the Grapes when they dropped, so I'm sure this shoe is a definite come up for any sneaker head out there. Check out some pics below.......

Wale was doing more than "No Hands" this Super Bowl Sunday. In fact, The Washington DC Rapper was catching "frost bite" as Rick Ross draped his arm in $40,000 30 carat Black Diamond Cartier watch as a new signee to the Maybach Music Group. Wale also received his Maybach insignia necklace as Ross jeweler Johnny Dang met them in Dallas to display they new chains for his label entourage. Wale along with new label will managed by the "Roc Nation" Imprint of Jay-Z as well. Can't wait to hear the new music of Wale and see him elevate with his new foundation in Hip Hop. It seems like Nike and the Jordan Brand continues to bring more heat with a long line up of retro releases to start off the new year. These pics are of the Jordan Retro 7 "Orion Blue" expected to drop in March of 2011. Marquee Sole has a few pair for sale ($270) for those sneaker heads who can't wait. Who's the baddest? Lil Kim just released a diss in response to an interview with Nicki Minaj and Angie Martinez. In the interview Nicki admitted to a diss track targeted at Lil Kim called "Roman's Revenge" on her new album Pink Friday. In my opinion Lil Kim has already laid the blueprint that Nicki is obviously trying to follow. I come from the era where Kim was one of the hypest female MC's in the game fathered by the late great Notorious B.I.G. Kim clearly still has it in my opinion in the response track "Black Friday". Listen to the track and you be the judge. The track is so serious it made CNN news online this morning.

I'm sure everybody has heard about the fight this past NFL Sunday between Andre Johnson, and Cortland Finnegan. Interesting enough Johnson and Finnegan was ejected from the game. What about the Andre Rison vs Deion Sanders brawl?!?! Deion "Mr Primetime" on the other hand was able to dodge being ejected after throwing more than one or two blows to his former Atlanta Falcon team mate. Here are clips of both brawls. I'll let you guys decide between Johnson or Sanders. I hope this doesn't encourage other young athletes to act this way when competing in sports. Hint: Please notice the race of all the players involved...coincidence that clip was in constant rotation!?!?

Drake "Drizzy" was named GQ Magazine "Man of The Year" with the success of his debut album "Thank Me Later", musical features, and commercial ads. Drake will share "Man of The Year" with Stephen Colbert, James Franco and Jeff Bridges. I guess 2010 wasn't a bad year for Drake after all, we'll see what he has in store for the new year. Drake has also announced the title of his new album "Take Care".

The Jordan 3's is definitely one of my favorites in the Jordan collection. On December 11th, along with the Altitude 13"s, there will be a very limited release of the Air Jordan Doernbecher 3's. They will retail for about $160 at the online Nike Store and Niketown retailers. For those unfamiliar, the Doernbecher Project supports an eponymous hospital funded by Nike which puts out special projects every so often. All the proceeds from the sale of the Doernbecher Project sneakers support the hospital.

So everybody has been speculating that the Carter family is expecting, but according to reporters at People Magazine, Jay Z announced that Beyonce is not pregnant. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 is definitely a childhood memoir for the "old school" sneaker heads in my day. We have seen some new colorways that are "must haves" along with the original colorways, but it doesn't stop there. Take a look at the "Cincinnati Red's" inspired color way expected to hit stores in the Spring of 2011. This is definitely another "must have" for all sneaker heads. Sneaker Heads get ready for the release of the Jordan Cool Grey 11's dropping at the end of December. This shoe will definitely sell out in retail stores. This will be the first time this color way of the 11's has been released, so you may want to save up to cop 2 pairs. If you really want to guarantee your pair, ebay power-sellers are letting them go for around $250. I'm sure online sites like City Sole, Sneaker Head, and Pick Your Shoes will have them ready to ship 2 weeks before the release date.
