It seems like Nike and the Jordan Brand continues to bring more heat with a long line up of retro releases to start off the new year. Let me introduce you all to the O'Clock wristband watch. This product is a hot, new alternative to the more expensive G Shock collection. Who's the baddest? Lil Kim just released a diss in response to an interview with Nicki Minaj and Angie Martinez. In the interview Nicki admitted to a diss track targeted at Lil Kim called "Roman's Revenge" on her new album Pink Friday. In my opinion Lil Kim has already laid the blueprint that Nicki is obviously trying to follow. I come from the era where Kim was one of the hypest female MC's in the game fathered by the late great Notorious B.I.G. Kim clearly still has it in my opinion in the response track "Black Friday". Listen to the track and you be the judge. The track is so serious it made CNN news online this morning.
I'm sure everybody has heard about the fight this past NFL Sunday between Andre Johnson, and Cortland Finnegan. Interesting enough Johnson and Finnegan was ejected from the game. What about the Andre Rison vs Deion Sanders brawl?!?! Deion "Mr Primetime" on the other hand was able to dodge being ejected after throwing more than one or two blows to his former Atlanta Falcon team mate. Here are clips of both brawls. I'll let you guys decide between Johnson or Sanders. I hope this doesn't encourage other young athletes to act this way when competing in sports. Hint: Please notice the race of all the players involved...coincidence that clip was in constant rotation!?!?

Drake "Drizzy" was named GQ Magazine "Man of The Year" with the success of his debut album "Thank Me Later", musical features, and commercial ads. Drake will share "Man of The Year" with Stephen Colbert, James Franco and Jeff Bridges. I guess 2010 wasn't a bad year for Drake after all, we'll see what he has in store for the new year. Drake has also announced the title of his new album "Take Care".
The Jordan 3's is definitely one of my favorites in the Jordan collection. On December 11th, along with the Altitude 13"s, there will be a very limited release of the Air Jordan Doernbecher 3's. They will retail for about $160 at the online Nike Store and Niketown retailers. For those unfamiliar, the Doernbecher Project supports an eponymous hospital funded by Nike which puts out special projects every so often. All the proceeds from the sale of the Doernbecher Project sneakers support the hospital.
So everybody has been speculating that the Carter family is expecting, but according to reporters at People Magazine, Jay Z announced that Beyonce is not pregnant. We have seen some new colorways that are "must haves" along with the original colorways, but it doesn't stop there. Take a look at the "Cincinnati Red's" inspired color way expected to hit stores in the Spring of 2011. This is definitely another "must have" for all sneaker heads. Now in my opinion, Fabolous has to be the of most "fashionable" trend setters in the hip-hop game today. I mean from the time he first came on the scene he has continued to re-innovate the fashion game with new trends to accommodate his lyrical content.
Despite all the rumors of Jay Z and his affiliation to the "Illuminati", the rap mogul continues to make progress with the release of his book "Decoded" which is in stores today. CNN took note of his success by stating "Jay Z: From Street Star to Superstar". I happen to catch the interview leaving class this morning. Jay Z proves that he is definitely intelligent and more than just a "rapper".

Jay Z does it again! Jay Electronica performed at an exclusive music industry event in New York City a couple of days ago. At the end of his performance Jay Z announced his newest signee to Roc Nation. "We're trying to reintroduce magic to Hip-Hop," Jay-Z said. "We watched this wizard do his thing. Y'all supported him. And he's an official Roc Nation signee." The announcement comes after Jay Elect spent years building buzz on the underground circuit and snagging the attention of hip-hop luminaries such as Nas and Diddy.

This morning I read a report where the L.A. District Attorney dropped the charges against Clifford Harris for violating his probation of having felony controlled substance (ecstasy) during a routine traffic stop. The rapper would have served yet another sentence of 11 months after just being released from prison almost 5 months ago on gun charges. It appears that the arresting officers statement allegedly said they smelled marijuana when they approached the car. The officers never booked any of the alleged marijuana and pulled T.I. out his $250,000 Maybach without asking for any registration or identification. There is still no word if his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle charges will be dropped. T.I. would be crazy to not take advantage of the grace to escape yet another trip to the big house. Hopefully this is "Motivation" for him to focus on his career and leave the drugs alone "ASAP".

Erykah Badu returns to complete the 2nd Volume to her New Amerykah Album Series. In her new video as you can see above her approach to this video shows Erykah parading down the street nude. The Imagery behind the video depicts Erykah walking the block of Elm Street in Dallas, Texas where John F. Kennedy was shot.Badu is completely nude as she approaches the spot on Elm where Kennedy was shot (which is marked with an "X" on the pavement). The sound of a gunshot can be heard and Badu collapses as if she has been shot. Streaks of blue "blood" then spill from her head as she lays in the street, spelling the word "groupthink." A Dallas city spokesman said that Badu did not have permission for the stunt, reports the Dallas Morning News.
