Word In The Streetz is dedicated to bringing you up to date with the latest in fashion, entertainment, music, politics, and lifestyle. Word In The Streetz was created by J. Frederick Smith, a student of Oakwood University who was inspired to make the most out of the college experience to influence other students to get up, get out, and experience life outside of the college campus.

J. Frederick Smith, a Marketing Major, wanted to bridge the gap between academic departments to develop a Multimedia Marketing Powerhouse that brought Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications all under one umbrella. His main focus was to also create opportunities to gain "hands on" experience to help further his knowledge of the corporate world. He also wanted to highlight events and information relevant to their generation of college students to keep them aware, involved, and informed.
